National Highway Institute (NHI) Training

CDOT's Office of Employee Development offers National Highway Institute (NHI) classes to transportation engineers across Colorado. NHI instructor-led training is technical and topic-specific; courses are scheduled in-person and virtually. A CDOT Subject Matter Expert attends each class to answer any CDOT related questions that may arise.

Fiscal Year 2025 NHI Classes with Public Seating:

CDOT's 2025 fiscal year runs from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025. There is only one NHI course that's still open for enrollment to the public:

Contract Administration Core Curriculum:

• When: Feb. 19 and 20, 2025 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
• Where: 4670 Holly St., Denver in the Turnpike Conference Room
• Register: Enroll in a public seat for the Contract Administration Core Curriculum course using the NHI Website.

How to Register for a Public Seat?

When you find a course with public seats available, use the instructions below to register for a public seat:

• Visit the NHI Website and search for the course by name.
• Scroll down to the Session Information at the bottom of the page and locate the session offered in Denver.
• Click “Add to Cart.”
• Create an account if you don’t already have one. If you already have an NHI account, sign in using your existing username and password to enroll in the class.
