CDOT Partners with Dispensaries on 2017 Drugged Driving Campaign
CDOT is partnering with marijuana dispensaries across Colorado as part of its Drive High, Get a DUI campaign to reach cannabis users at point-of-sale locations. CDOT hopes the partnerships will encourage responsible use, and highlight the dangers and consequences of driving high.
There are approximately 720 dispensaries in Colorado as of January 2017, and large stores receive up to 1,000 customers per day. By collaborating with dispensaries, CDOT is able to get its message in front of tens of thousands of cannabis users, with the goal of reducing drug-related DUIs, traffic crashes and fatalities.
CDOT is providing dispensaries with toolkits containing a variety of materials with the Drive High, Get a DUI message—including fliers, graphics for in-store video screens, website information, social media posts, FAQ and more.
