Meet The Effects: CDOT tackles driving high by personifying impairment
Traffic Safety Pulse News
Driving under the impairment of cannabis is commonly misconstrued among drivers in Colorado and is not taken as seriously as driving under the influence of alcohol. When someone is high behind the wheel, the chances of a crash are doubled, and the chances of a DUI are even higher.
CDOT’s newest campaign, Meet The Effects, addresses the different effects cannabis impaired driving has by personifying them with the help of an animated character. Slowed reaction time, reduced focus, and temporarily weakened problem solving skills are science-based effects that our animated characters bring to life in a relatable and serious way, addressing the impairments that impact driving ability.
Meet the Effects will be live in April and May across various print advertisements, digital and social media ads, and a :15 video spot, all showcasing the effect and consequences of driving while high.
