Seat belt usage is referenced in some of our favorite pop culture moments. In late May, CDOT launched a clever social media campaign to complement increased Click It or Ticket enforcement efforts. The social posts caught some eyes, reminded us of some classic cinematic moments, and encouraged people to change their behavior and not be at-risk in the first place.
In 2021, 232 unbuckled vehicle occupants were killed on Colorado roadways, a 12% increase over 2020. Buckling up is the best way to protect yourself in the event of a crash.
