CDOT’s impaired driving-prevention efforts are in full swing this summer with several The Heat Is On DUI enforcement periods, the new It’s Not Complicated campaign and public engagement activations at Denver and Colorado Springs bars.

DUI enforcement periods

CDOT recently partnered with Colorado State Patrol and local law enforcement agencies for the Summer Blitz and Fourth of July DUI enforcement periods. Sixty-eight agencies arrested 177 impaired drivers during the Summer Blitz from June 11-21, and 19 agencies arrested 55 impaired drivers during the Fourth of July enforcement period from July 2-5.

The Summer Strikeout enforcement is up next from July 16-19.
