Getting Your License
The more training you get, the better driver you'll be.
The process of getting your license depends on how old you are when you start. The more training you complete, the safer and more confident you’ll be on the road.
The requirements for earning your license vary by age. Generally, the process follows these steps:
- Take a driver’s education course (if required based on your age).
- Apply for a learner’s permit (with parental consent and after passing a written test).
- Complete behind-the-wheel training and supervised driving (as required for your age group).
- Hold your permit for at least one year.
- Pass a driving test and apply for your license.
