US 85 & US 34 Interchange Improvements

About the Project:

The Colorado Department of Transportation and contracting partner Jalisco International, Inc. will begin improvements at the intersection of US Highway 85 and US Highway 34 in Greeley near Garden City. The anticipated completion date of the project is June 2025.

Safety improvements include installation of new guardrails and improving signage and striping at the intersection of US 85 and US 34, known as Spaghetti Junction. Better lane recognition increases safety and mobility while decreasing the occurrences of crashes due to vehicles departing from the roadway.

The shoulders will be widened to improve safety along this corridor.  Shoulder widening provides enhanced safety and mobility for motorists traveling on narrow two-lane highways.
