US 85 Concrete Panel Replacement

About the Project

The Colorado Department of Transportation and TLM Contractors will begin a concrete panel replacement project on US 85 Business (8th Avenue) from 5th Street to O Street in Greeley, Colo. The anticipated completion date is late October 2025.

Work includes:

  • Outdated concrete panels on US 85 will be removed and replaced with new concrete pavement
  • Asphalt shoulders will also be replaced with fresh hot mix asphalt
  • Outdated guardrails will be removed and replaced with updated guardrails
  • Installation of new curb ramps and repairs to the bridge deck

Project Benefits

  • Concrete panels that are cracked, broken and not seated properly will be replaced to mitigate further deterioration of the road
  • Guardrails will be upgraded to prevent vehicles from leaving the roadway, reducing the severity of crashes and minimizing the risk of injuries and fatalities

  • Bridge deck repairs prevent further deterioration, helping the bridge last longer without the need for full replacement

Work Schedule

  • Daytime work hours are from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday
  • The schedule is weather dependent and subject to change
