US 85 Concrete Panel Replacement
About the Project
The Colorado Department of Transportation and TLM Contractors began a concrete panel replacement project on US Highway 85 Business (8th Avenue), from 5th Street to O Street. The anticipated completion date is late October 2025.
The old concrete panels on US 85 Business will be removed and replaced with new concrete pavement to mitigate further deterioration of the roadway. Asphalt shoulders will also be replaced with fresh hot mix asphalt. Additional improvements will include the installation of new curb ramps along the corridor.
To extend the longevity of the bridges spanning the Cache la Poudre River, upgrades will include deck repairs, along with the removal and replacement of outdated guardrails which can prevent vehicles from leaving the roadway and may prevent far more serious crashes.
