Project Benefits

As a part of the resurfacing process, the existing roadway will be milled, removing the top layer of pavement before being repaved with fresh asphalt. This improves ride quality by smoothing out rough surfaces and addressing minor pavement issues such as cracks and deformations. This maintenance approach extends the life of the roadway while minimizing costs and disruptions to the travelling public compared to a full reconstruction. Replacing the top layer and replacing with new asphalt prevents damage to the underlying pavement structure and will enhance the driving experience for motorists.

Other resurfacing benefits include:

  • Extends the life of the roadway and strengthens pavement structure
  • Enhances motorist driving experience

Work Schedule

  • Daytime work hours range from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday
