US 287 Longmont Signal Pole Improvement Project
About the Project:
Work will occur at two intersections, US Highway 287 and 19th Avenue and United States Highway 287 and 11th Avenue, in the northbound and southbound lanes for a one-mile stretch of US 287. The first phase of the signal pole maintenance project will take place over a 12-week period on US 287 and 19th Avenue near Mile Point 316.6. At the beginning of May, crews will move operations to US 287 and 11th Avenue near Mile Point 317.6.
Project Benefits
- The project will improve traffic flow for motorists and enhance pedestrian safety at crosswalks.
- These improvements have many significant benefits, including ensuring that all current standards are met and maintained on ADA ramps, and pedestrian safety and accessibility are enhanced.
Work Schedule:
- Work will last approximately 3 months
- Working hours are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Some overnight and weekend work is expected
Traffic Impacts:
Motorists can expect the following impacts during the period of construction:
- Vehicles can expect some intermittent single-lane closures in either direction throughout the duration of the project
