US 287 Adams County Signals & Ramps

US 287 signal

The Colorado Department of Transportation and prime contractor, Interface Communications Company, will begin updating traffic signals, improving pedestrian routes and curb ramps, and replacing signal poles at three intersections along US 287 in Adams County. Those intersections include: Cottonwood Drive and the westbound US 36 on-ramp, the eastbound US 36 on-ramp and 74th Avenue. Work will begin at the end of November and go through March of 2022. The project is part of a larger statewide commitment by CDOT to provide greater accessibility for multi-modal travelers.


Work Schedule

  • Monday through Friday, working hours will be from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

Traffic Impacts

  • Construction zones are at the intersections of US 287 at Cottonwood Drive and the westbound US 36 on-ramp, US 287 at the eastbound US 36 on-ramp, and US 287 at 74th Ave..
  • Travelers can expect one-lane closures, right turn-lane closures, ramp closures and shoulder closures.
  • Delays may be possible due to congestion. Additionally, this project has anticipated night closures. The public will be given plenty of notice when night closures occur.
