CO 392 to CO 14
The design for North I-25 from SH 392 to SH 14 will be prepared by Atkins to implement Phase 1 of the North I-25 Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) Record of Decision (ROD) Preferred Alternative. This phase of the ROD Preferred Alternative incorporates continuous acceleration/deceleration lanes in each direction, reconstruction of two substandard interchanges (I-25/SH 14 and I-25/Prospect), initial I-25 express bus and stations, retaining walls and bridge reconstruction and frontage road reconstruction. These improvements intend to increase capacity, improve safety, achieve a higher level-of-service, address drainage issues and facilitate local access. Improvements will be designed with the ultimate preferred alternative in mind.
The North I-25, SH 392 to SH 14 project team held small group stakeholder meetings on May 22 and May 23, 2013 as a part of the project outreach and engagement process. The primary purpose of the meetings was to reconnect with property owners and business owners, specifically those located between the port-of-entry and SH 14 directly adjacent to or very near improvement areas and to provide a status update of the preliminary ultimate design. If you were unable to attend one of the meetings but are interested in receiving more information or meeting with a project team member, please contact Shar Shadowen at [email protected].
