I-70 Concrete Panel Replacement Project Arapahoe County

About the Project:

The Colorado Department of Transportation and Ralph L. Wadsworth has successfully completed the removal and replacement of various deteriorating concrete panels along eastbound and westbound I-70. The efficiency and hard work of crews resulted in the project being completed 22 days ahead of schedule.

A total of 1,271cy of concrete was placed and 147 panels of roadway replaced from Deer Trail (Mile Point 325) to Bennett (MP 305).

The newly replaced panels will allow for long-term safety of the traveling public as well as improve roadway surface conditions.


Project Purpose:

The original pavement was built in 1991. The pavement is deteriorating, which has required multiple repairs.  The pavement (concrete panels) needs to be permanently replaced for the long-term safety of the traveling public and will also improve driving surface conditions.
