The Project includes more than 100 mitigation commitments to minimize impacts to environmental resources and communities during construction, including:

  • Minimizing dust, stormwater runoff, noxious weeds, vehicle emissions, lighting, and disturbance of contaminated sites or hazardous materials.
  • Protecting sensitive water and wetland resources, such as fencing, no-work zones, etc.
  • Installing air quality monitors and tracking conditions during construction.
  • Mitigating rockfall to protect construction workers and motorists, such as mesh, netting, etc.
