Traffic and Construction Impacts

Construction Phasing Image

Crews continue to work on Brighton Boulevard and on the UPRR Bridge over 46th Avenue. Overnight Sunday, the York Street on-ramp to westbound I-70 will close permanently. Crews will also begin working on the I-70 bridge over Peoria Street.  Barrier will be placed on I-70 in the east segment overnight. Daytime commuters will notice a slight shift in traffic pattern. Routine highway maintenance will occur throughout the corridor during the day and overnight.

Construction activities will be happening day and night. Activities that occur overnight will be within the noise variance limits of
75 decibel hourly average with an allowable spike up to 86 decibels. To make a complaint about construction noise during the night call the 24-hour hotline at 833-C70-INFO (270-4636). DDPHE regulates the noise variance and residents may also call the city at 3-1-1. There is additional information about the variance here.

  • I-70 between Quebec Street and I-225 interchange
