Traffic Impacts

• Starting at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 31 and lasting until approx. 7 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, various lane closures will be taken on eastbound I-70 within the project limits
• Single lane closures will be taken at 7 p.m. switching to double lane closures at 9 p.m. while crews implement an eastbound I-70 traffic shift north onto onsite detour pavement
• The CO 58 on ramp to eastbound I-70 will close at 11 p.m. and remain closed until 6 a.m., with detour in place (see map below)
• The detour route consists of taking westbound I-70 to Exit 264, and following Youngfield to W. 44th Ave. to access eastbound I-70
• During the overnight shift, motorists can expect delays and caution is advised as crews will be striping lanes and realigning traffic
• Once implemented, eastbound I-70 traffic will be in a 24/7 temporary alignment while crews remove and replace the eastbound I-70 bridge
• The project limits extend from Mile Point 265 to MP 266.5
• Motorists can expect some delays
• Signs, message boards and construction devices will be present to alert the public to the lane closures and new alignment
• Construction schedules are weather dependent and subject to change
