Ongoing Traffic Impacts

The Region 3 ADA Ramp Improvements Project - Garfield County will be conducted in Rifle on CO 13 on W. 20th St., W. 26th St., W. 30th St., and Lion’s Park Cir.

Monday, May 17 to Thursday, May 20 work will consist of:

  • Southbound and Northbound right lane closure on Railroad Ave. (CO 13) from W. 20th St.
    to W. 30th St.
  • Southbound right lane closure on CO 13 at Lion’s Park Circle
  • Expect intermittent flagging and lane shifts during construction
  • All intersections will maintain public access
  • The project will be in operation Monday thru Thursday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

About the Project:

Work will consist of bringing existing curb ramps into compliance with Public Rights of Way Accessibility Guidelines, or PROWAG.** Curb ramps are intended to provide pedestrians access between the sidewalk and street with ease when a vertical change in elevation is present. **Public Rights of Way Accessibility Guidelines. The Access Board is an independent federal agency that promotes equality for people with disabilities through leadership in accessible design and the development of accessibility guidelines and standards.

Project Locations:

  • In Rifle - CO 13: W. 20th St., W. 26th St., W. 30th St., and Lion’s Park Cir. - between MP 0.12 and MP 3.14 - approximately one mile southwest of Deerfield Park.
  • In Silt - US 6: 1st St., 3rd St., 5th St., 7th st., 9th st., Domebly Ct., 16th St., Lyon Blvd. - between MP 98.73 and MP 99.85 - in downtown Silt.
  • In New Castle - US 6 - 1st St., N. B Ave., N. D Ave., S. E Ave., Burning Mountain Ave., Bruce RD (CO RD 240) - Between MP 105.90 and 107.30.
