CO 91 Culvert Rehabilitation

Project Complete!

The Colorado Department of Transportation and American West Construction, LLC completed work  on Colorado Highway 91 to rehabilitate culverts. The culvert at Mile Point 10.52 was cleaned out and lined and a headwall was also installed at the outlet structure. The existing pipe at Mile Point 10.70 was plugged and a new pipe was installed under CO 91.

The project was located north of Leadville and near the Climax mine. Culvert improvements and replacement are necessary to protect roadways from heavy rainfall and maintain safe driving conditions if there is flooding.
