US 50 Traffic Signal Replacement and Radar Detection Project

Project Complete!

The Colorado Department of Transportation along with Morton Electric, Inc. have completed the replacement project on US 50 between Canon City and Pueblo.
The project replaced aging traffic signal and radar detection devices at 19 intersections.  The replacement of the devices updated the old detection system and will allow for smoother flow of traffic.

Work Schedule

  • Primary work hours will be daytime hours, Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. with occasional night work.

Traffic Impacts

  • Motorists can expect various single lane closures and single turn lane closures throughout the project
