Project Complete!

In mid-May, the Colorado Department of Transportation and contractor Lumin8 will begin an intersection safety improvements project along Colorado and Sheridan Boulevards in Denver. The project will improve traffic flow and safety for motorists and pedestrians at 12 different intersections (see below for intersection details). The project includes bringing curb ramps to Americans with Disabilities (ADA) compliance, modernizing traffic signals, and installing raised medians at select locations.

Work Schedule

  • Work is scheduled to begin in mid-May and continue through February 2022. However, these operations are weather and temperature dependent, and this schedule could change.

Traffic Impacts

  • Various single lane closures will be in effect from 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, and 8:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on
    Fridays.
  • Occasional night and weekend work is possible. Please visit the project website for weekly schedule information.
  • Sidewalks may be temporarily closed during construction. Pedestrian detours will be in place.
  • Please drive safely through the work zone when crews are present.
