CO 141 Mesa Creek Bridge Repair

About the Project

This is a bridge repair project located at the CO 141 Mesa Creek Bridge (Mile Point 85.5) in Montrose County. This bridge sits above Mesa Creek (an ephemeral stream) and is adjacent to the Dolores River. It’s approximately 24 miles north of the community of Naturita and 26 miles south of the community of Gateway.

The project consists of:

  • stabilization and reinforcement of the south bridge pier and abutment
  • riprap placement
  • streambank stabilization
  • grading operations
  • additional bridge preventative maintenance measures
  • final pavement overlay

The project is expected to last until July 2025.

Work Schedule

  • Daytime work hours range from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Work will vary from five to seven days per week depending on weather and the work activity

Traffic Impacts

Motorists can expect the following impacts during the period of construction:

  • Vehicles will be reduced to a single-lane, alternating traffic intermittently in either direction
  • The speed limit will be reduced through the work zone
