CO 14 Shoulder Widening in the Poudre Canyon
Project completed
About the Project
The Colorado Department of Transportation recently completed widening of the shoulders at six locations on CO 14 in the Poudre Canyon. This project improves safety on this stretch of roadway by providing wider shoulders, removing roadside hazards, and improving advance warning which should reduce roadway departure crashes and crashes involving roadside hazards.
The improvements are located west of Ted’s Place and continued to the west towards Kinikinik, adding approximately 6 miles of shoulder and 4 miles of rumble strips to reduce roadway departure crashes. Construction was completed in February 2022. Work occurred on following segments on this project:
- Segment 6 - Mile Point (MP) 120.05 - 120.33
