CO 133 Paonia Landslide Repair

Project Complete!

The Colorado Department of Transportation, in cooperation with Williams Construction, will perform landslide repairs to Colorado Highway 133 north of Paonia from MP 21.6 to MP 21.8. Work will begin November 15 and will continue through May 2022 with a winter shutdown. The project consists of slope stabilization by use of ground anchors, prefabricated concrete panels, and drain pipes. Once the slope has been stabilized, roadway repairs shall be completed. This project will benefit the public by improving safety and function of this section of highway. The location is immediately west of Paonia Reservoir and Kebler Corner. Traffic Impacts Beginning November 15, motorists will encounter road and shoulder work on CO 133. 


Work Schedule & Traffic Impacts

  • Working hours will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • Various shoulder and lane closures will take place within the work zone. Minimal traffic delays are expected.
  • Traffic fines will be doubled in the work zone. Motorists should slow down as they approach the work zone, drive with caution, allow extra space between vehicles, and give themselves extra travel time.
