C-470 Bridge over University Boulevard Improvements
About the Project
Construction and installation of a grade separation bridge for cyclists and pedestrians on the C-470 Trail. This bridge will allow for safe travel across University Boulevard.
Additional work includes:
- Trail improvements to tie the existing trail system to the new bridge
- Drainage improvements
- Ramp improvements
- Curb and gutter updates
The project is expected to take place between January 2025 and December 2025.

- Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Traffic Impacts
Motorists can expect the following impacts during the period of construction:
- There will be detours set in place for cyclists and pedestrians during construction
- C-470 trail closure with detour
- Pedestrians using the trail can expect closures and detour signage leading them through the detour
- Intermittent single lane closures on C-470 as well as University Boulevard
- Potential on and off-ramp closures at C-470 and University Boulevard
