US 6 North Avenue Improvements Design Phase
About the Project
CDOT has finalized the design for transportation improvements to US 6 (North Avenue) from 1st Street to I-70B in Grand Junction. These transportation improvements include resurfacing the road with two inches of asphalt and installing new medians to control access, improve safety and improve traffic flow. Construction is scheduled to begin in spring 2022 and is anticipated to be completed in fall 2022. Traffic impacts during construction will include reduced travel to one lane in each direction, additional travel times and lowered speed limits. Work will be done at night and business access will be maintained.
