US 40 Grand County Traffic Signal Replacement
About the Project
Starting on Monday, April 13, 2020, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) and contract partner Casper Electric will begin a traffic signal replacement project on US 40 at two different locations. The project limits will be on US 40 and CO 9/6th Street in Kremling and on US 40 and 1st Street in Granby. The $1.1 million project has an anticipated completion date of Oct. 2020.
As part of CDOT’s Whole System - Whole Safety initiative, this project will improve safety by adding new vehicle detection to improve real-time traffic monitoring. Crews will also install 14 Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant curb ramps which will provide functional accessibility to all travelers using our state and U.S. highways.

Work Schedule
The project will be in operation Monday through Friday from 7 am to 7 pm.
Traffic Impacts
Motorists can expect a shoulder closure and right lane closure.
