US 385 Realignment and New Structure south of Bristol

About the Project:

This project consists of replacing a timber structure under the roadway with a new concrete box culvert as well as realigning the roadway. Culvert improvements and replacement make necessary enhancements to accommodate higher accumulations of rainfall and lower the risks associated with such instances as flooding to maintain safe driving conditions.

Work Schedule:

  • Work will start on May 8th and is expected to be complete in the fall of 2023.
  • Working times will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

 


Traffic Impacts:

  • Within the work zone there will be alternating single lane traffic with a temporary traffic signal as well as shoulder closures.
  • Various other lane and shoulder closures will take place within the work zone with speeds reduced to 40 mph.
