US 385 Resurfacing in Yuma County
About the Project
On July 6, 2021 motorists can expect lane closures along U.S. Highway (US) 385 as the Colorado Department of Transportation and Simon will begin work on the US 385 Resurfacing Project between County Road (CR) 54 and CR 2 south of the City of Holyoke. Work on this project will improve driving conditions and safety along this 6.30-mile stretch of US 385, including pavement resurfacing, 6-foot shoulder and embankment widening, and permanent signage and striping. The resurfacing will be completed through milling and paving, which involves removing a 2-inch layer of existing asphalt and putting a new 4-inch HMA overlay on top of the milled surface.
Simon, of Sterling, CO, is the prime contractor on this $5.99M project. Work is expected to be complete by the end of December 2021.
