US 34 and CO 257 Signalization
About the Project
The Colorado Department of Transportation, in partnership with Interface Communications, has completed the installation of four new traffic signals. Crews installed these signals at the intersections of Colorado Highway 257 and US Highway 34 in Greeley, at the on and off ramps. Work also included minor striping changes.
Throughout the duration of this project, traffic impacts were kept minimal, with occasional shoulder and single-lane closures. The project closely followed the estimated timeline for completion, especially considering the accelerated schedule and weather challenges faced along the way.
In 2017, “a signal warrant study determined that signalization of the on/off ramps would improve the overall safety and operations of this interchange. This signalization will provide safer access and improve the flow of traffic during peak periods.” said CDOT Executive Director, Shoshana Lew. "
Work Schedule
Work began in late October 2021 and was completed in mid-March of 2022.
