Project complete

About the Project

The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has completed a major road resurfacing and rehabilitation project on US 287 (College Avenue)—between 29th Street in Loveland and Mulberry Street in Fort Collins.

The majority of work on this project consisted of milling and resurfacing the driving surface, signing and striping to provide a safer, smoother ride for motorists.

The resurfacing project was delivered in three phases:

  1. Phase 1: US 287 From Carpenter Road (CO 392) to Harmony Road
  2. Phase 2: US 287 from 29th Street to Carpenter Road (CO 392
  3. Phase 3: US 287 from Harmony Road to Mulberry Street

During the 2015 construction season, crews focused on road and bridge rehabilitation in preparation for full road resurfacing. Extensive work occurred on southbound College between Mulberry and Laurel, consisting of full-depth roadway rehabilitation. This included the removal of concrete panels, which were covered by multiple asphalt overlays. In 2015, crews also completed concrete repairs from University south to Harmony.

During the 2016 construction season, Martin Marietta returned to perform asphalt milling and paving operations overnight.
