US 287 Concrete Panel Replacement in LaPorte

About the Project:
The Colorado Department of Transportation is replacing concrete panel replacement on US Highway 287. Work will take place along US 287 beginning near LaPorte and extending north toward Ted’s Place from Mile Point (MP) 351 to MP 354.
This project will improve safety to the traveling public by replacing crumbling roadway to create a smoother drive. Intersection improvements will provide a safer and more efficient travel for motor vehicles, bicyclists and pedestrians.
Work Schedule
- Detours will be in place starting June 13 to 17 and again on June 20 to 24 starting at 6 a.m., with all lanes opening on Fridays at 8 a.m.
Traffic Impacts
- Beginning June 13, all southbound traffic on US 287 will be detoured onto County Road 54G also known as US 287B
- On June 27 to 30, motorist can expect single alternating lane closures guided by flaggers with minimal traffic delays
Detour Route
- Southbound travel will exit at County Road 54G (also known as US 287B) to LaPorte, continue southbound on US 287B and rejoin US 287 at the roundabout just east of North Taft Hill Road
- All northbound traffic will continue on northbound US 287 and will not be detoured
