US 160-CR 225 Intersection Improvements | Design Phase

About the Project:

This project will construct improvements at the intersection of US 160 and CR 225 (mile point 94) between the communities of Durango and Bayfield. The project will address safety concerns at the existing intersection by improving mobility, enhancing managed access, and accommodating future traffic volumes expected from land development in the area  The project will include:

• Construction of a rural roundabout
• Improvements to drainage
• Installation of lighting
• Installation of deer guards
• New signing and striping

Work Schedule:

• Construction of this project is expected to begin Spring 2023.

Traffic Impacts:

• Traffic impacts will be announced approximately one month prior to construction in Spring 2023.
