US 50 Over Blue Mesa

Project Overview

Crews on this project resurfaced a 12.1-mile stretch of US 50 along Blue Mesa Reservoir, in Gunnison County between mile points 127 and 139.1.

Project work, completed in November 2017, included:

• removing surface cracks and imperfections by milling and recycling the existing asphalt surface;
• resurfacing the pavement with new asphalt;
• repairing the bridge deck;
• replacing guardrail; and
• restriping the highway.
