From May to late November 2017, crews on this project resurfaced a 9-mile stretch of US Highway 491 north of Cortez—from County Road 25 (Lebanon Road) north to CO Highway 184 (mile points 27.3 to 36.1).

Work included:

recycling the top layer of asphalt to address surface cracks and imperfections;
applying new asphalt;
upgrading guardrail on CO 184, near Narraguinnep Reservoir; and
signing and striping.
