Project Overview
On Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017, crews will begin a month-long project that will improve the Colorado Highway 14 and US Highway 287 intersection at Ted's Place in Larimer County. Work will begin at the intersection's northwest corner and extend to two locations:
- US 287 from mile point (MP) 355.72 to MP 356.29
- CO 14, 300 feet west of US 287
Project work includes:
- asphalt paving (beginning Sept. 25, weather permitting);
- curb and gutter installation; and
- modifying signage and striping.
Schedule
- Normal work hours are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.; no weekend work is scheduled.
Traffic/Community Impacts
- The public will retain access to local businesses during construction.
- Expect alternating one-lane traffic Sept. 5 through Oct. 6. There will be one through lane on US 287 in each direction.
- Speed limits will be reduced to 40 mph; fines will be doubled.
- Expect minor delays on CO 14 during paving.
- Please keep in mind your safety, and the safety of flaggers and construction crews when traveling through the construction zone.
