Metro Denver Area Traffic Signal and ADA Curb Ramp Upgrades

About the Project:

Starting at the end of July, the Colorado Department of Transportation will begin work to replace the traffic signals and work on the curb ramps in several locations in Jefferson County. The project will include the removal and installation of signal poles, mast arms, controller cabinets, fiber infrastructure, cameras and other infrastructure. Curb ramps in these intersections will also be updated to be ADA compliant.

Project Locations include:

  • CO 93 at Golden Gate Canyon Road
  • CO 93 at W. 64th Parkway
  • CO 93 at West Gate Road
  • CO 58 EB Ramps at McIntyre St
  • CO 58 WB Ramps at McIntyre St
  • CO 8 at CO 74
  • CO 8 at Stone Street

Work Schedule & Traffic Impacts

  • Work at these intersections is scheduled to begin July 26 and come to completion by December of 2021.
  • Intermittent daytime lane closures will occur from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • The project will begin with underground work starting at CO 93 at Golden Gate Canyon Road, followed by work at CO 93 at West 64th Parkway; CO 93 at West Gate Road; CO 58 eastbound/westbound ramps at McIntyre Street; CO 8 at CO 74; and CO 8 at Stone Street
