I-25 Crossroads Bridge
Project Facts
- Cost: $22.1 million
Funded through Responsible Acceleration of Maintenance and Partnerships (RAMP), with contributions from the North Front Range Metropolitan Planning Organization - Contractor(s): RL Wadsworth of Colorado
- Timeline: September 2016 to early August 2018
About the Project
Crews on this project are replacing the bridges on I-25 at Crossroads Boulevard between mile point (MP) 258.6 and MP 260.1. Work will also include the following:
- replacing walls near the bridge
- embankment work
- placing temporary asphalt to accommodate the phases of the on-site detour
- replacing curb and gutter, and guardrail
- adding signage and striping
Progress
The northbound bridge is complete, and traffic has been shifted onto the new road. Because the new bridge was built with 28-foot shoulders to accommodate future Express Lanes, the bridge will temporarily handle both flows of traffic until crews complete the southbound bridge.
