Project Overview
From July to November 2017, crews installed subsurface drains with manholes and sewer pipe across eastbound and westbound I-70 at Vail Pass to alleviate seasonal road-surface cracking.
The project team worked on five separate sites where soil swells and cracks the roadway when frozen.
