I-70 Repaving & Guardrail Replacement Between Vail Pass & Officers Gulch

Project completed

About the Project

On Monday, May 7, 2018, crews began repairing and repaving a 7.5-mile section of I-70 between Vail Pass and Officers Gulch in Summit County.

This work will improve the smoothness and safety of both directions of I-70 from mile points 190 through 197.5—a section of the interstate that has deteriorated following winter weather conditions, including the use of chains. Additionally, crews will upgrade concrete barriers and guardrail to ensure travelers' safety.
