About the Project
From August to mid-November 2017, crews improved the Johnson Tunnel—the eastbound portion of the Eisenhower-Johnson Memorial Tunnels on Interstate 70, in Summit and Clear Creek counties.
Specifically, work included replacing the tunnel's concrete barrier rail, walkway and handrail, and inlet cleaning and maintenance in the westbound Eisenhower Tunnel.
