This work will ultimately help prevent crashes and fatalities caused by motorists accessing the interstate from the wrong direction.

Travel Impacts

  • Work on I-25 started in January at the Colorado/New Mexico state line and will continue north, to just north of the line dividing El Paso and Douglas counties (mile points 140-154).
  • On US 24, work began in El Paso County at MP 303.4 and will continue east to MP 306.
  • Expect occasional single-lane and shoulder closures in both directions.
