I-25 and CO 21 (Powers Blvd) Water Quality Project

Project completed

About the Project

The I-25 and CO 21 (Powers Boulevard) Water Quality project will installed a new storm sewer system to drain the I-25 and Powers Boulevard interchange. CDOT and Redline Pipeline installed storm sewer pipes and built two permanent combined water quality and detention pond facilities. Pond A is immediately adjacent to the east side northbound I-25. Pond B is located in the center median adjacent to southbound I-25.

Work requires close coordination with the interchange project team since project phases and work areas overlapped. The project was completed during the summer of 2021.

This project is located within the current interchange work area on and adjacent to I-25 south of North Gate Boulevard (Mile points 154 – 156). More information on the I-25 and Powers Boulevard interchange design and construction can be found at i25powers.com.
