About the Project
For two weeks in May 2019, crews will make improvements to the southbound I-225 exit ramp onto 17th Place near the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora. This work will improve the driving surface and provide more prominent lighting to guide travelers.
Specific improvements:
- installing two new LED signs, which will be activated when the traffic signal light changes to yellow or red (When the light is red, the sign will flash, "Be prepared.")
- adding mumble strips to both lanes of the off-ramp
- relocating signs and plaques
Schedule & Travel Impacts
- Work hours: 7 p.m. - 5 a.m., with the exception of Saturday
- Expect single-lane closures on the off-ramp during working hours, with minor traffic delays.
- Emergency vehicles will have priority access to the Anschutz Medical Campus.
