About the Project

Starting Dec. 10, the Colorado Department of Transportation and contractor Mountain Valley Contracting Inc. will implement minor culvert improvements on Colorado Highway 340 and Colorado Highway 139 to improve the flow of stormwater drainage.

The work will take place in Mesa County and will continue through mid June. Work is scheduled to begin Dec. 10, on CO 340 along Mile Points 11 and 12 (between Canary Lane and Dressle Drive).

Proposed Work Schedule

  • Work is scheduled to begin Dec. 10, 2020 and is expected to last until mid June. Normal working hours will be Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Travel Impacts

  • Please be aware that the Mesa County Phase III Project is also taking place in the same area from High Pointe Drive to W. Scenic Drive
  • Motorists can expect minimal traffic impacts with occasional single lane closures. The bike path will have occasional stops with possible dismount and walking your bike through the work.
  • Project will have a holiday shutdown from Dec. 24 to Jan. 4
