Local Agency Projects

CDOT is responsible for maintenance and repair of U.S. Interstates, U.S. Highways and State Highways within Colorado.  However, countless other local roadways were also damaged during the flood event.   County, city and town roads that are classified as arterial, urban collectors, and major rural collectors are considered Federal Aid Roads and are eligible for Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) funds.  CDOT is the administrator of FHWA funds to Federal Aid Roads and works in partnership with the local counties and municipalities to complete necessary roadway repairs.  These repair projects are referred to as Local Agency Projects.   Use the interactive map to view planned projects and check the Local Agency Project box.

Lower volume roads may qualify for funding assistance through FEMA.  Repairs to these roads are managed by local counties or municipalities.   CDOT is not responsible for these projects.  Contact your local agency for more information.
