Denver Metro ADA Ramps in Arapahoe, Douglas and Jefferson Counties

About the Project
CDOT will begin work on improvements to pedestrian walkways with the installation of ADA compliant curb ramps at various locations throughout the Denver Metro area. Work will start on Corridor 1 which is Federal Boulevard beginning at West Princeton Place heading south to Belleview Avenue. Crews will then move to Corridors 2 through 4 (listed below) respectively.
Work includes, but is not limited to:
- removing and replacing curb ramps to standard push buttons
- concrete pavement
- asphalt patching
- sodding
- signage

- Cost: $100,000
- Contractor: Jalisco International, Inc.
- Timeline: November 2020 to July 2021
- Location: CO 88 in Douglas, Arapahoe and Jefferson Counties
Proposed Work Schedule
- Work will begin on Monday, Nov. 16 starting in Corridor 1 and is expected to be completed by spring 2021, barring weather and/or shipment delays.
- Normal work hours will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday with occasional night work possible at some locations.
Traffic Impacts
- Pedestrians can expect sidewalk closures and motorists can expect single lane closures.
Project Locations
The project is located at several intersections throughout Denver. As the project progresses information for each corridor will be updated on the website.
Corridors include:
- Corridor 1: S. Federal Blvd at W. Princeton Pl heading south until W. Belleview Avenue
- Corridor 2: W. Belleview Avenue starting a S. Prince Street heading east until S. Clarkson Street
- Corridor 3: S. Platte Canyon Road from W. Ponds Circle to S. Platte Canyon Drive
- Corridor 4: S. University Boulevard from Fremont Avenue to C-470
