CO 88/Belleview Avenue Traffic Safety Project

Project Complete!

In early October, the Colorado Department of Transportation began the Belleview Avenue (CO 88) Traffic Safety project between Federal Boulevard and South Prince Street. This traffic safety project will install raised medians along Belleview Ave, as well as signal replacement, curb ramp upgrades, curb and gutter replacement, erosion control, signage, striping, and drainage modifications. Work will occur in both the eastbound and westbound lanes of the highway, as well as along the sidewalks within the project zone.

Project Benefits

• Installation of raised medians to improve traffic safety along this highly frequented stretch of Belleview Avenue
• New traffic light signals for clear motorist and pedestrian direction
• Upgrades to curb ramps to meet ADA standards and other added safety elements and improvements such as curb and gutter replacement, erosion control, signage, striping, and drainage modifications
