About the Project

This is a safety improvement project which will include shoulder widening and realignment of the highway at two separate locations along Colorado Highway 67 in Douglas and Teller Counties. The project limits are between mile points (MP) 55 and 91.5.

  • Worksite #1:  CO 67 - Douglas County - Mile Points 89.5-90.5 - This portion of the project will begin first in late May.  
  • Worksite #2:  CO 67 - Teller County - Mile Points 55.7 - 57.9 - This portion of the project is expected to begin in July.  

Project Benefits

  • Widening provides enhanced safety and mobility for motorists traveling on narrow two-lane highways.
  • Construction of wider shoulders will improve safety by providing a larger recoverable area on the side of the roadway and reduce the potential of crashes from vehicles veering off the main roadway.
