CO 52 Resurfacing East of Hudson

About the Project:
The Colorado Department of Transportation will make improvements to over six miles of Colorado Highway 52 between Evergreen Street in the Town of Hudson and County Road 59 in Weld County. This project will improve the entire road surface with a new asphalt layer. Minor shoulder widening will occur in some areas. This project will also upgrade guardrail, install rumble strips, and place new roadside signs and delineators.

Work Schedule:
- Daytime work hours ranging from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday
- Night and weekend work are possible
- Phased construction from spring to fall of 2024
Traffic Impacts:
Motorists can expect the following impacts during the period of construction:
- Travelers should expect intermittent lane closures, traffic shifts and alternating traffic
- Flaggers may be present, be prepared to stop
- Detour routes will be signed if temporary road closures are necessary
- Traffic will be held at intersections and driveways while equipment passes through to ensure product quality and safe operations
- Temporary rough riding surfaces may be present until paving is finished
- Speed limit reductions and width restrictions will be in place as needed
- Watch for vehicles entering and exiting the work zone
