CO 52 & CO 66 Critical Culvert Rehabilitation
About the Project
The Colorado Department of Transportation and American West Construction, LLC. of Denver have scheduled a culvert rehabilitation project along CO 52 and CO 66 in Weld County.
The 3 project locations include:
- Weld County Site 1 – Hwy 52 & MP 35.83
- Weld County Site 2 – Hwy 66 & MP 50.32
- Weld County Site 3 – Hwy 66 & MP 49.62
The goal of the project is to increase the longevity of each storm water conveyance pipe to prevent failures and erosion of the embankments, while ensuring the safety of the travelling public.

Proposed Work Schedule
- Work is scheduled to begin on December 7th and is expected to last until December 30th.
- Normal working hours will be daylight hours from approximately 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and may include some Saturday work.
Traffic Impacts
- Majority of the work will occur off the roadways, however, delays up to 10 minutes might occur.
- There may be one-lane alternating traffic during the course of the project.
- The speed limit will be reduced to 40 mph through the work zone.
- Lane restrictions will be 12’ wide through the work zone.
